Fly

Fly Privacy Policy

Last updated October 8, 2026. This policy covers Fly, the iPhone game by DutchData, Inc. ("DutchData", "we", "us").

What Fly does not do

Fly has no ads and no ad software. It has no analytics or tracking software from other companies. There is no account and no sign-in. Fly never asks for your name, email address or phone number. It does not use your camera, microphone, photos, contacts or location. It does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, so it never shows Apple's tracking prompt. There are no purchases and no chat.

Gameplay recordings

The first time you play, Fly asks whether it may send recordings of your play. You can say no and play the whole game. If you say yes, Fly records each play session and sends it to us. We use the recordings to study how people fly, to find bugs and slow frames, and to make the game better.

A recording contains:

Touches and controlsWhere your fingers touch the screen and the controls they move: the pad, the throttle, the buttons. A game controller or keyboard, if you use one: its sticks, buttons and game keys.
Your craft and cameraAbout once a second: where your craft is in the game world, its speed and orientation, which craft you fly, and where the game camera points. The game's clock and its weapon random seed.
The worldWhich of the three worlds you are in.
Frame timingsHow long the phone takes to draw each frame.
The app buildThe app version and a fingerprint of the game's code and data, so we know which version made the recording.

A recording does not contain your name, an account, a device ID or advertising ID, your screen, your camera, your microphone, your real-world location or any text. Each session gets a new random ID. That ID is not tied to you or to your phone, and two sessions from the same phone can't be linked by it.

How recordings are sent and kept

Turning recording off

Open the pause menu and tap Session recording, the first row. Turning it off stops new recordings and deletes any recordings on your phone that haven't been sent yet. Deleting the app deletes them too.

Recordings that have already been sent can't be deleted one person at a time. They carry no name or ID that links them to you, so we have no way to find yours. This is also why they can't be used to identify you.

Feedback emails

The Feedback button in the pause menu opens an email to joseph@dutchdata.io in your own mail app. It fills in the app version, the world, your craft, your iPhone model and your iOS version. You see everything before you send it, and you decide whether to send it. If you write to us, we get your email address and what you wrote. We use it only to answer you and to fix what you report. We don't add you to any mailing list. To have your emails deleted, ask us.

Children

Fly is made for a general audience and is rated 13+ on the App Store. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has emailed us, tell us and we will delete it.

Your rights

We send recordings only if you agree, and you can change your mind any time in the pause menu. Depending on where you live, for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California, you may have the right to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. Write to us and we will help. Recordings can't be tied to you, so we can't look them up for one person, but we can answer for anything else, like emails you sent us.

Our server and storage are in the United States. If you play outside the United States, recordings you agree to send are moved there.

Security

Recordings travel encrypted over HTTPS. Only the people at DutchData who work on Fly can get to them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. If we ever want to record something new, the app will ask you again first.
