Questions

Is Fly free?

Yes. There is nothing to buy in the app.

Are there ads?

No. Fly has no ads and no ad or analytics software from anyone else.

Do I need an account or an internet connection?

No account, ever. All three worlds are inside the app, so you can play offline.

What does Fly record, and how do I turn it off?

The first time you play, Fly asks once whether it may send recordings of your play. If you say yes, each session records your touches and controls, where your craft is and how it moves, the camera, the world, frame timings and the app version. It does not record your name, an account, a device ID, your screen, your camera, your microphone or your location. Each session gets a random ID that isn't tied to you or your phone.

To turn it off, open the pause menu and tap Session recording, the first row. That stops new recordings and deletes any that haven't been sent yet. The privacy policy has the details.

Which iPhones does Fly run on?

Any iPhone with iOS 17 or later. That is iPhone XS, iPhone XR, iPhone SE (2nd generation) and newer.

How do I switch worlds or craft?

Tap pause (top left). Places switches between Chicago, Floating Chicago and Vík. Vehicles picks one of the six craft.

How do I get to space?

Fly straight up past the sky. The sun and the planets are out there. Keep your distance from the sun: its heat damages your craft. Tap Fix to repair.

My phone gets warm.

Open the pause menu, then Settings, and pick Hot phone: 30 fps, lighter under Graphics. The game runs cooler.

Is it violent?

The fighters shoot buildings and drop bombs on them. Buildings burn and fall down. There are no people or animals in the game. Fly is rated 13+.
